It is cute! Looks 50s to me – a side bustle was my first thought, or mini panniers. Research in fact suggests antecedents in 18th century panniers or side hoops.

I made Bec her favourite cake: white chocolate mud cupcakes (while we're making puns... I find that name to be a real mouthful!)
I considered making a chocolate mudcake in the shape of a heart, but I was making a mudcake, not a cheese-cake (slightly more ambiguous pun there, I'm stretching.)
But that strawberry tart looks so much more nicely presented!!
